Training is a priority for PACRI. An interdisciplinary approach to training will be implemented including basic and translational science, clinical research, and debates on ethical and
societal issues of current and forthcoming importance.
PACRI offers a unique combination of educational expertise and experience via its affiliated institutions (Institut Curie, the Institut Gustave Roussy, the Institut St. Louis, and the
oncologyoriented Medical Faculty of Université Paris Descartes) and via the partnerships established with other major universities of the Paris area (Paris Diderot, Paris Descartes,
Paris Sud.
PACRI is therefore in an ideal position to develop a coherent, cutting-edge program for initial training and lifelong learning for physicians, researchers, engineers and nurses. PACRI
develops the international visibility of these programs, optimize and rationalize them in a coordinated fashion as it contributes to shape and guide new
oncology-relevant professions. Particular emphasis is placed on novel training strategies including realistic simulations in close-to-life situations and modern computing
technologies, including virtual realities.
